Inclusive website access
BEMC aims to make its website usable across devices and access needs.
The website is designed with semantic structure, keyboard navigation, responsive layouts, readable contrast and reduced-motion support.
Current accessibility measures
- A skip link and semantic page landmarks.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and form controls.
- Visible focus states and descriptive labels.
- Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile use.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative icons hidden from assistive technology.
- Colour choices designed for legibility and contrast.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences.
- No essential information conveyed by colour alone.
Known limitations
Third-party websites, downloadable documents and externally supplied content may not meet the same accessibility standard. Some older materials may require remediation before publication.
Feedback and alternative formats
Report an access problem or request information in a reasonable alternative format by emailing [email protected]. Include the page address, the difficulty experienced, the browser or assistive technology used and the preferred format.
Continuous improvement
BEMC will review accessibility during content updates, design changes and material platform revisions. Accessibility testing should form part of every major release.
